The LORD is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The LORD is good to all, And His mercy is over all He has made.
The Bible teaches that all men and women are the children of the first man and his wife whom God personally created in his own image and likeness. We are created to resemble his character and to multiply and fill the whole earth as his worshippers.
The Bible teaches that this God of the universe exists in three persons––the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit––having the same divine qualities: holiness, justice, love, and infinite in all His attributes such as power, wisdom, presence.
The Bible teaches that we were created to walk in his presence as holy and righteous, and to enjoy him forever, both in this life, and in the life after death.
The Bible teaches that the first couple whom he created chose to disobey God, resulting in both they and all humanity with them becoming sinful––in acts and thoughts––being separated from the intimate relationship with Him and are destined to live meaningless lives and to suffer eternal punishment in hell.
The Bible also teaches that we are incapable of attaining our salvation by our own efforts, since all our thoughts and actions are tainted by pride, selfishness, and impure love. Instead of truly loving God, we chose to worship objects, people, ideas, or ourselves.
The Bible Teaches that God, out of His pure, relentless love for us, and measureless grace towards us, offers to us a way to return to Him in true fellowship. That way, the only way to return to God, is through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Jesus came into this very world, in the likeness of our own sinful flesh, yet without sin, and offered himself as the all-sufficient sacrifice on the cross account of our sins. God in His infinite power and love raised Christ from death and exalted him, and because of his selfless obedience, seated Him on His right hand in power and glory.
The Bible teaches that we must gladly believe and receive this message as the only way to salvation. Faith means both believing these teachings of the Bible as trustworthy, and then entrusting ourselves in His saving power on account of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection.
The Bible teaches that those, by the help of God, who come to faith are given new life in Christ by God the Holy Spirit, enabling them to love and obey God out of their heart rather than merely conforming to human laws and standards.
Every member of Bethel Baptist has professed the above truths, and have entrusted their lives to the Triune God for salvation from their sin, its guilt and from the eternal separation from God.
We would plead with you to consider the above truths, and should the Lord in His mercy give you the same faith. We welcome you on Christ’s behalf, to come home to your God.
