Adult Bible Class / Bible Hour

(Sundays, 9:15-10:15 am)

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

At Bethel Baptist, the ministry among men is centered around our deep commitment to these values:

From the very start of our church, our founding pastors saw the value and benefits of encouraging a teaching ministry for the adults of the church. The Adult Bible Class is usually held during the Sunday School for children and youth. Naturally this became a win-win situation, where parents can bring children for Sunday School, and set the example for them by participating in their own classes.

The main goal of the Adult Bible Class is to educate our adult members in Bible Knowledge and Biblical Doctrines. Occasionally we do some topical study. The objective however is to encourage spiritual growth and training of men and women to engage in other teaching ministries such as Sunday School.

The 2020-21 Pandemic brought a surprising growth to this ministry. While we could not meet in person once a week, we ended up meeting every working day to study different books of the Bible. From this came the name Bible Hour. Although not an in depth study of any of the books, we covered from 2 Chronicles Job, several Psalms, book of Proverbs, Mark, all of John’s writings, and Ezekiel.

We are excited to return to our meeting once a week on Sundays where we will continue to study the Scriptures, learn through discussions, and be engaged in the life of the church and thus be examples for everyone.
